Network Analyst Job Description
- Provide timely response to all incidents, outages and performance alerts. Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams.
- Recognize, identify and prioritize incidents in accordance with customer business requirements, organizational policies and operational impact.
- Document all actions in accordance with standard company policies and procedures.
- Notify customer and third-party service providers of issues, outages and remediation status.
- Work with internal and external technical and service teams to create and/or update knowledge base articles.
- Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks.
- Support multiple technical teams in 24 x 7 operational environments with high uptime requirements. Varied shift schedules may include day or evening hours.
- Comprehensive understanding of core services within project.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure services are operating efficiently.
Minimum requirements
- English Language Proficiency is Required
- Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS certification is preferred
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based computers and related software applications
- Demonstrated competency in one or more related network technologies, as well as hands-on OEM equipment experience
- Demonstrated competency with related technology debug levels and utilities
- Knowledge of data network elements such as IP routers, Ethernet switches, firewalls, etc.
- Knowledge of IPv4 & IPv6 network technologies
